Ruddle Crispin is a recurring character in the Star Ocean universe. A traveller, Ruddle has the bad habit of constantly getting lost and it's always up to the party to give him correct directions. Later in his travels he met Rumina and the two have been travelling together since.

Ruddle (or Raddle) is person involved a Private Action sidequest in The Second Story and its remake. By doing his sidequest, the player are able to get a Scumbag (or Funny) Slayer which instantly kills any enemy with Scumbag/Funny on its name (most notable at the Maze of Tribulations/Cave of Trials).

To start this sidequest, it must be before the events in the Sanctuary of Linga or VR Expel (thought not proven). First you start at Salva in the southern screen, asking where is Harley.

Integrity and Faithlessness

A young traveler (and sometimes a traveling salesman trainee) who has traveled extensively but is actually incredibly poor with directions. Ruddle makes his latest appearance with his friend Rumina, a girl he met during his wanderings. It's anyone's guess whether he simply likes adventure or whether he is traveling in search of a particular goal. Whatever the case may be, his natural ability to get lost has gotten him into more than one hundred scrapes throughout his life. Incidentally, he claims to have never had a girlfriend.

• Like Puffy and Welch Vineyard, Ruddle has been in every main series game, indicating he could be a Fourth-Dimensional Being. However, unlike the other two, Ruddle does not seem to possess a lot of knowledge about the player party and is rather clueless.
